In what is sure to rock the old proverbial boat a bit between XBOX and Playstation fanboys, a Ubisoft producer has let slip that the much anticipated (and once to be a PS3 "exclusive" - but now coming to the XBOX 360 as well) Assassin's Creed may perform "better" with AI on an XBOX 360, rather than a PS3.

While the details are still somewhat sketchy, it can at least be confirmed that there will be - initially - two versions of the PS3... Of course don't expect to these versions to be the be all and end all, especially as Sony has to react to market conditions over the next few years.

New preview photos of Assassin Creed. Judging by the screenshots, this game is visually going to be a stormer. Whether the gameplay lives up to that is another matter... stealth/assasination games are always tricky when it comes to perfecting the right gameplay balance. That said, this game is looking like it may be one of the first niche orientated "killer games" for the PS3.
